Six athletes to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland at event in Murcia in May

Tom Bosworth and Jo Atkinson lead the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team selected for the European Race Walking Cup in Murcia, Spain, on May 17.

The duo will compete in the senior 20km events. Bosworth, who recently broke the British 10km race walk record and claimed his fourth national 20km title, finished 31st at the last event in Dudince two years ago.

Atkinson, who won Commonwealth 20km race walk gold in 2010, recently finished seventh over 20km at the Lugano Trophy event.

Joining them on the GB team and contesting the junior 10km events are Cameron Curbishley, Guy Thomas, Callum Wilkinson and Emma Achurch, with Achurch having set a national junior record of 1:45:29 on her 20km debut at the British Race Walking Championships last weekend.
