Paul Freary and the AW testing team put the latest road racing shoes and some multi-purpose race-trainer models for wider use through their paces

Looking for a new pair of running shoes to help put a spring in your step? AW's product reviewer Paul Freary and his team of testers have tried out some of the latest road racing shoes as well as some multi-purpose race-trainer models for wider use.

Of the 12 shoes put to the test, the Brooks Launch 3 was voted the 'best racer-trainer', while the Hoka One One Tracer was the 'best all-round racer' and the Nike Air Zoom Streak 5 was considered 'best value'.
