Japan National Stadium

The Japan National Stadium, located in Tokyo, is a modern and iconic sports venue that opened in 2020. With a seating capacity of 68,000, the stadium was designed to host the 2020 Summer Olympics (held in 2021 due to the pandemic), where it featured the athletics and opening and closing ceremonies.

As a hub for track and field, the Japan National Stadium hosts several international athletics events, including World Athletics Continental Tour meetings. The stadium continues to play a major role in hosting athletic competitions as it will host the 2025 World Championships from September 13-21, 2025.
