Karla Drew and Ben Gregory are among the British athletes travelling to Netherlands for the senior Combined Events International Indoor Match on January 24-25, while Morgan Lake heads the GB team for the under-23 and under-20 competitions in France.
All four athletes in the senior women's team for Apeldoorn set personal bests at the English Combined Events Championships in Sheffield last weekend, with Drew leading the team following her 4199 points in the pentathlon which places her 10th on the UK all-time list.
Joining her is Commonwealth heptathlon bronze medallist Jessica Taylor, Jo Rowland and Moe Sasegbon.
Gregory won the senior men’s heptathlon title with 5663 points in Sheffield and features on a team alongside bronze medallist Daniel Needham, Liam Ramsey and Curtis Matthews. The two senior teams will face competition from teams from Netherlands, France, Spain and Czech Republic.
Double world junior champion Lake is to form part of GB's under-23 team in Nogent-sur-Oise, the 17-year-old joined by Katie Stainton and the recently-crowned England under-20 women’s combined events champion Ebony Wake. Also in action in France and competing against teams from France and Spain is David Hall, on the GB under-23 men’s team, and 15-year-old Niamh Emerson, who is on the GB under-20 women's team and making her international debut.
