A guide to the Bupa Great South Run course presented by Kris Temple

The 25th staging of the world’s leading 10 mile running event - the Bupa Great South Run - takes place in Southsea and Portsmouth on Sunday October 26, 2014.

The fast and flat course is steeped in history dating as far back as 1212, passing naval landmarks, cathedrals and castles.

Runners are also granted permission to run through the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, home of HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum.
