Jamaica’s Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare claimed the first sprint titles of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games on Monday with victories over 100m.

Bailey-Cole recovered from a poor start to clock 10.00 and deny England's Adam Gemili with 10.10, while Okagbare dominated the women's event, running a 10.85 Games record to beat Veronica Campbell-Brown with 11.03.
