Gladys Cherono wins in a world-leading 2:19:25 to move to seventh on the world all-time list

Gladys Cherono won the elite women's race at the BMW Berlin Marathon on Sunday (September 27), clocking 2:19:25 to move to seventh on the world all-time list.

The Kenyan beat an Ethiopian trio of Aberu Kebede, Tadelech Bekele and Meseret Hailu to secure victory in only her second race over 26.2 miles.
