Enter one of a variety of running distances at this growing event on October 6

Promising more than just a run with its full programme that combines sports with goodness and fun, Eker I Run on October 6 is one of the most exciting running events in Turkey.

With over 21,000 participants, Eker I Run experienced a 600% growth between 2014 and 2023. The event, which is organised by Eker Süt Ürünleri in Bursa, reached 4531 runners in 2023 – the highest number of participants to date.

Running aside, Eker Süt Ürünleri seeks to support sports and foster good living and social benefit. Promising more than just a run with its full programme that combines sports with goodness and fun, Eker I Run is one of the most vibrant, inclusive and exciting events in Turkey.

Eker I Run is a charitable organisation that raises money for non-governmental projects. Each year, Adım Adım and I run the Eker I Run for goodness.  Through Charity Run campaigns, volunteer runners raise money for various non-governmental projects designed especially for the benefiting groups.

Since the event began in 2014 the Eker I Run has participants who range in age from 7 to 70. Apart from professional athletes, individuals from diverse backgrounds, including recreational runners aiming to adopt a healthier lifestyle, corporate team representatives, and children, can also participate in the event.

With its vibrant schedule, Eker I Run feels like a festival as it unites the energy of sports with joy, excitement, and goodness on one stage. Those who attend Bursa Eker Meydan to watch Eker I Run can visit the sponsor brands' stands and enjoy a variety of organised activities while there. The schedule for Eker I Run includes concerts, dance events and DJ sets in addition to the races.

As well as its 600% growth between 2014 and 2023, competitors in the 10th Eker I Run came from 11 other countries and a total of 48 different cities. The number of female athletes has exceeded the number of male athletes with 2599 females in the 10th Eker I Run tracks, compared to 1932 males.

On October 6, the 11th Eker I Run will take place, starting at Uludağ summit and ending at Bursa Eker Meydan. "Hit the Road!" is the 11th Eker I Run's motto because running is about breathing, feeling life, and discovering who you are. The 11th Eker I Run will feature a 42km marathon, 15km and 5km races, a Tiny Steps Run and a skate race.

Athletes who place first in the 15km and 42km general classification at Eker I Run are eligible to compete in international marathons. Türkiye was represented in the Milan Marathon, which took place on April 7, by the top finishers of the Eker I Run in 2023.
