Interview with World Juniors-bound English Schools senior girls 400m winner Cheriece Hylton

Kent's Cheriece Hylton got ready for the World Junior Championships in Eugene with victory over 400m at the English Schools Championships in Birmingham on Saturday.

She won a battle with the also Eugene-bound Loren Bleaken of Avon – 54.53 to 54.75.

Hylton, who ran a 53.54 PB at the Mannheim Junioren-Gala just over a week before, wasn't far off the championship record set by Hayley Jones in 2006.

Both athletes have been included in the 4x400m relay squad for Eugene, with Hylton also named for the 4x100m.
