Khalifa International Stadium, located in Doha, Qatar, is a multi-purpose venue that has played an increasingly significant role in international athletics and track and field events. Originally opened in 1976 and extensively renovated in 2017, the stadium is part of the Aspire Zone, Qatar’s world-renowned sports complex.
It features a seating capacity of around 45,000 and played host to the 2019 World Athletics Championships, where it became the first stadium in the world to feature air-conditioned track and field facilities, allowing athletes to compete in optimal conditions despite the desert climate.
