Commonwealth Stadium, located in Edmonton, Canada, is named after the 1978 Commonwealth Games, for which it was built. It was the site of the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Athletics. The stadium has also hosted the Canadian Track and Field Championships, as well as numerous other international and national meets.
