Black Country Road Run

A 10km event taking place on Sunday July 1 which this year includes a new corporate challenge. Partnering with The Black Country Chamber of Commerce, organisers are encouraging members and local businesses to get involved. Teams of up to five people will be able to enter into either the 10km or the Fun Run.

Raise money for your own chosen charity or the Rotary charities, team build, get fit, promote your business and have fun!

Pitstop Festival of Races

Races over 5km and 10km on a flat traffic-free course ideal for wheelchair racers, taking place on Wednesday July 4 from 18:30.

All entries are taken online via Racebest (no entries on the night).

Cash prizes for the first three in both races and t-shirts for all finishers.

Chip timing and ample car parking available. Course suitable for personal best times

Venue is Croft Circuit, near Darlington - DL2 2PL.

Wythall and Hollywood 10K

Now into its ninth year, the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run will take place on Sunday July 8.

The main 10km and 5km races start at 09:15 and run free of traffic along closed roads around the village and countryside of Wythall. These are then followed at 11:30 by a 1.5km Fun Run for all the family around Wythall Park.

Chip timing is being introduced this year. With timing mats at both start and finish to give true individual race times – now you can really challenge those PBs!

Cash prizes for first, second and third male and female, and fastest boy and girl (under-15) in the 5km.

All proceeds from the event go to local charities.

Hercules Festival of Sport – St Albans

Set in the historic Roman town of St Albans, the Hercules Festival of Sport on Sunday September 23 offers an ideal end to your season.

Two of the most popular distances are on offer: 10km and 5km. Both runs will be set in the beautiful Veralamium Park and will be testing, safe and fun. There are lots of opportunities along the routes for spectators to cheer runners on and the events will finish in the sports village to a hero’s welcome over the finish line.

Barns Green 10k

The Barns Green 10k, near Horsham in West Sussex, is a beautiful and scenic 10km, run on traffic-free roads.

This year's event takes place on Sunday September 30.

The race starts and finishes near the village green, and has live bands along the route including Christ’s Hospital School’s 100- strong marching band.

All finishers receive a quality medal and this is a family friendly day with a fun fair, food outlets and free parking.

Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 10k (pictured)

Be part of the biggest weekend of running in Scotland! Runners of all abilities from the very young to the very old and all those in-between will descend on Glasgow city centre over the weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September.

The 10km on the Sunday is the perfect way to see the stunning Glasgow sights, which include The Hydro, Pacific Quay and the McLennan Arch. The course, which is a shorter adaptation of the half-marathon, takes runners on a tour of the River Clyde and before heading back towards Glasgow Green for the big finish.
