UKA chief operating officer switches sports after working at the national athletics governing body for the past four years.
Tom Solesbury has left his role as UK Athletics chief operating officer to become chief executive at British Rowing.
Solesbury was a key member of Jack Buckner's team at the athletics governing body but he is returning to a sport where he was a competitor himself at four world championships and two Olympics in 2008 and 2012.
Tom Solesbury told British Rowing: "I am excited to be joining British Rowing and believe that huge opportunities lie ahead for our sport at all levels. I am very much looking forward to getting started and working alongside the rowing community and our brilliant staff and volunteers to build on rowing’s success.”
