'Taking Athletics to New Heights' features eight key pillars of plans for the future of the sport including protecting the integrity of athletics and transforming athletics for the modern sporting era

Sergey Bubka has revealed more in-depth IAAF presidency plans with the launch of  his International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) presidential campaign manifesto entitled Taking Athletics to New Heights.

Following the unveiling of 'Vision 2025' as part of plans for a "complete review" of athletics last week, the Ukrainian pole vault great introduced his manifesto on Wednesday, with his plans for the future of the sport based on eight key pillars.

Opening with a section dedicated to building on the legacy of athletics, the manifesto goes on to highlight areas including protecting the integrity of athletics and transforming athletics for the modern sporting era.

Bubka is challenging his fellow IAAF vice president Seb Coe for the top role, with Lamine Diack to step down as president of the sport’s international governing body in August having held the position since 1999.

Coe revealed his presidential campaign manifesto, entitled Growing Athletics in a New Age, in December.

Recruiting a CEO, creating an IAAF History Commission, transforming the sport for the modern era and a "zero tolerance" policy against doping all feature in Bubka's manifesto.

The eight key pillars outlined in Taking Athletics to New Heights are:

- Building on the legacy of athletics
- Serving the athletics community
- Enhancing our beneficial partnership with the IOC
- Transforming athletics for the modern sporting era
- Protecting the integrity of athletics
- Growing our commercial revenue
- Strengthening our focus on education
- Playing a leading role in driving social change

The race for IAAF presidency will conclude in August at IAAF Congress in Beijing.
