A night of racing in Armagh, Northern Ireland, saw victories for established Great Britain & NI athletes Nick McCormick of Morpeth Harriers and Loughborough University's Laura Whittle at the Brooks Armagh Road Races, writes Ryan Maxwell.
McCormick impressed in the latter stages of a close international men's 5km to win in 14:11.90, with the race producing 45 sub-15:00 times.
Scottish-born Laura Whittle, a former European under-23 5000m champion, assumed control half-way through the international women's 3km, before breaking the tape in 9:25.73.
The programme closed with the men's open 3km, which saw Alistair Campbell of Cambuslang Harriers secure victory in 8:55.81.
