Fastest man on earth is stylish on and off the track

Noah Lyles demonstrated his strength and stamina this spring with a 45.87 PB for 400m in Gainesville. It shows he’s fit ahead of a summer where he will hope to once again prove he’s the fastest man in the world.

Lyles won the Olympic 100m title in Paris last year, in addition to 200m bronze while struggling with Covid. This follows world 100m and 200m titles at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, plus world 200m titles in Doha in 2019 and Eugene in 2022.

Lyles’ big goal for this year will be to defend his world sprints titles at the World Championships in Tokyo in September. After that he will prepare for a spring 2026 wedding with his partner Junelle Bromfield.

For a sprinter like Lyles, time is of the essence. Therefore it’s appropriate that he focuses on what kind of watch he wears.

Lyles is among a number of top athletes who wear luxury watches. In Lyles’ case his his brand of choice is Omega and is part of an Omega stable of athletes that include pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis, triple jumper Yulimar Rojas, sprints legend Allyson Felix and high jumper Gianmarco Tamberi.

Olympic heptathlon champion Nafi Thiam, sprints icon Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim are among those who wear the Richard Mille brand of luxury watches.

Hurdles star Sydney McLaughlin and sprinter Letsile Tebogo are part of the Tag Heuer team. Usain Bolt, meanwhile, has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Hublot.

If you’re wondering what the most popular luxury watches are, the world’s leading online marketplace for luxury watches, Chrono24, comprehensively analysed the most important secondary market trends in the past year – and identified a clear winner.
