Jamaica's Yohan Blake looking to 'light up the track' as he takes on top trio at Diamond League meeting in July

Yohan Blake, Kim Collins, Adam Gemili and Richard Kilty are to race over 100m at the Glasgow Diamond League on July 11.

The sprinters are the latest athletes to be confirmed for the event at Hampden Park which forms part of two days of Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix action.

It is also at Hampden Park where Commonwealth Games track and field action will take place just two weeks after the Diamond League event.

"I'm really excited to be coming back to the UK this summer," commented Blake, the world's second fastest man of all time over 100m, who won relay gold as well as 100m and 200m silver at the London 2012 Olympics.

"After such a strong 2012, it was disappointing not to be able to continue that form into 2013 due to injury," added Blake, who is to also race in Britain at the BT Great CityGames Manchester on May 17 - his first race in the UK since the London Games. "However, I'm looking to use the Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix to show the world I’m back and ready to light up the track once again."

Gemili and Kilty will both be racing Blake for the first time in Glasgow, as the British duo look to build on their recent successes.

"2013 was a great year for me dipping under 20 seconds in Moscow (over 200m) and now I will be looking to make similar progress in the 100m," said Gemili. "The Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix will present me with the opportunity to go up against the best in the world and give me a springboard for the championships ahead this summer."

Kilty commented: "It has been an unforgettable start to the season for me. Running personal bests and winning the World Indoor Championships has put me up there in the world of sprinting and I’m determined to stay there."

The event also sees a return to the UK for Collins, who last year at the age of 38 ran a 100m PB of 9.97 at the Lausanne Diamond League, while double world and Olympic champion Mo Farah, Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford and world 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu are among the other athletes confirmed for the meet.
