The dietitian and ultra runner shares her advice on marathon fuelling and avoiding the dreaded 'runner's tummy'

Not sure what you should be eating on marathon race day, or want some advice on how best to avoid the dreaded 'runner's tummy'?

We caught up with sports dietitian Alexandra Cook, who is an ultra runner and specialises in endurance performance nutrition, at The National Running Show in Birmingham to get some top tips.

Her no.1 piece of advice? Don't do anything different on race day!

"Whether it's your shoes, your clothes or your nutrition - you should really have it practised," says Cook.

"It's about being prepared."
