Sha'Carri Richardson has been arrested for allegedly assaulting Christian Coleman, her boyfriend and world indoor 60m record-holder, at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Richardson, 25, was arrested with a fourth-degree domestic violence offence according to the police report.
On Thursday (July 31), she ran in the heats of the 100m at the USATF Championships in Eugene, Oregon, clocking a season's best of 11.07 (1.3), but pulled out of further races.
The police report refers to the two athletes getting into a verbal altercation as they passed through security and also pushing each other before Richardson appeared to throw a pair of headphones at Coleman.

As reigning world champion from Budapest 2023, she has an automatic bye to the World Championships in September in Tokyo.
