Merga and Burka added to BOclassic fields, while England and Vernon are announced for NYRR Midnight Run

Ethiopian stars are the latest additions into the fields of BOclassic for the famous end-of-year race in Bolzano.

The men's race is set to feature 2011 world cross-country champion Imane Merga, while the women's event is due to include world 10,000m silver medallist Gelete Burka.

Sumgong for Sao Paulo

Olympic marathon gold medallist Jemima Sumgong of Kenya is the latest top name announced for the 92nd Corrida de San Silvestre in Sao Paulo on December 31.

Already also confirmed are Ethiopia's Ymer Ayalew and top Brazilian Joziane da Silva Cardoso.

England and Vernon in NYRR Midnight Run

Two-time US Olympian Desiree Linden leads the elite field for the four-mile NYRR Midnight Run in New York on December 31, informs organisers.

Linden will face Britain's 2011 world 1500m silver medallist Hannah England, while the top name in the men’s race is 2014 European 10,000m silver medallist Andy Vernon.
