Ones to watch at the Anniversary Games
One week after the Athletics World Cup took place in the London Stadium, the venue will stage the two-day Müller Anniversary Games and IAAF Diamond League on Saturday and Sunday (July 21-22).
British record-holder Laura Muir, USA's world 60m record-holder Christian Coleman and Commonwealth champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson are included in the fields, while Jamaica's double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson is among the seven reigning Olympic gold medallists set to compete along with nine world champions and 37 world medallists from last year’s IAAF World Championships.

Men's 100m - Saturday 15:50
Women's 200m - Sunday 15:29
World 60m record-holder Christian Coleman will renew his rivalry with his fellow American Ronnie Baker as he continues his comeback after injury, while other sub-10 second sprinters in the field include South Africa’s Akani Simbine, Jamaica's Yohan Blake and Britain's Zharnel Hughes. Britain’s Adam Gemili, Reece Prescod and Chijindu Ujah are late withdrawals, but Gemili is still due to race in Sunday's 4x100m and 200m. Britain's world indoor 60m hurdles champion Andrew Pozzi is also among the entries and is set to race the 100m flat for the first time since a low-key meeting in 2011.
British 100m and 200m record-holder Dina Asher-Smith will be looking to further prove her fine current form in the 200m after improving her national 100m mark to 10.92 in Oslo last month. This field is also stacked and she lines up alongside world 100m and 200m silver medallist Marie-Josée Ta Lou, two-time world 200m champion Dafne Schippers, Olympic 100m and 200m champion Elaine Thompson and world indoor champion Murielle Ahouré.
Women's Millicent Fawcett Mile - Sunday 15:49
Laura Muir targets the British one mile record, back in the stadium where in 2016 she broke Kelly Holmes’ British 1500m record.
The double European indoor champion and world indoor medallist came close to Zola Budd’s 33-year-old record of 4:17.57 at the same event last year, clocking 4:18.03 when finishing behind Kenya’s Hellen Obiri.
The Scot again goes up against Obiri, plus world medallists Jenny Simpson and Sifan Hassan and Brits Laura Weightman, Jemma Reekie and Sarah McDonald.
Men's long jump - Sunday 14:31
Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford is set to compete for the final time in the arena where he struck Olympic gold in 2012.
Like with so many people, the venue carries special memories for Rutherford, who won the Olympic title during the incredible ‘Super Saturday’ at London 2012, which also saw Jessica Ennis-Hill and Mo Farah win gold.
"This is going to be a very emotional weekend for me," he said. "I’ll probably be crying more than I’ll be jumping, to be honest!"
The current Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth champions are all taking to the runway in the UK capital this weekend as Rutherford is joined by USA's Jeff Henderson and South Africa's Luvo Manyonga, plus British champion and decathlete Tim Duckworth, Dan Bramble and Feron Sayers.
Cuba's 8.83m jumper Juan Miguel Echevarría withdrew ahead of the event through injury, but Manyonga is excited for what they both might be able to achieve in future.
"I know for a fact that I was born to break that nine metres barrier," he said. "It’s just a matter of time." (Read more from Manyonga here.)

Katarina Johnson-Thompson made her Olympic debut in the heptathlon in this stadium in 2012, finishing 15th at the age of just 19, and since then she has won the long jump at the Anniversary Games in 2013 and 2016.
This time she contests both the long jump and high jump as she works toward next month's European Championships.
Her rivals in the long jump will be her fellow Briton Lorraine Ugen, who set the world lead with her 7.05m leap at the British Championships and won at the Athletics World Cup, plus Jazmin Sawyers and Shara Proctor.
The high jump will see world champion Mariya Lasitskene look to return to winning ways as she goes up against Johnson-Thompson, 2016 world indoor champion Vashti Cunningham and Commonwealth silver medallist Morgan Lake.
Women's T34 100m - Sunday 13:40
Many of Hannah Cockroft’s most memorable moments have happened in the London Stadium and on Sunday she’ll race over 100m – one of five events in which she holds the world record – against a field including her fellow Briton Kare Adenegan.
The five-time Paralympic gold medallist, who won two of her titles in London six years ago, will also line up alongside Amy Siemons of Netherland's and Britain's Paige Murray.
Men's 1500m - 15:08
In the 1500m, USA's Olympic champion Matt Centrowitz and Norway's Henrik Ingebrigtsen go up against Brits Chris O’Hare, Josh Kerr, Neil Gourley and junior talent Jake Heywood.
O’Hare and Jake Wightman have already secured their 1500m spots for the European Championships but there's fierce competition for the third place on the GB team and athletes will be looking for a strong performance in this non-Diamond League race to stand out to selectors.
O’Hare is racing fresh from a Scottish record of 3:32.11 during an incredible evening of action at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday, which saw Beatrice Chepkoech smash the steeplechase world record.
