Artist Machakos Kyalo has created a tribute song to the Kenyan world indoor and Commonwealth champion

"They ask me why I'm running and I tell them Caleb Ndiku..." Kenya's world indoor and Commonwealth champion Ndiku switched the track for rap recently to star in the video for a tribute song by artist Machakos Kyalo.

Ndiku claimed the world indoor 3000m title in 2014 before going on to win Commonwealth gold over 5000m in Glasgow that summer. Last year he secured world 5000m silver behind Britain's Mo Farah in Beijing and in the rap video for "Run Caleb Ndiku" the Kenyan athlete can be seen running, dancing and posing with some of his trophies in his home town of Machakos.

"To my brother, one of the best Machakos Kenya representers, Caleb Ndiku. I thank you for everything that you've done for me, our village, our city & our country," wrote Kyalo on YouTube. "You're an inspiration to all & to many village boys & girls such as myself."
