Jamaican and US teams announced for London 2017
The Jamaican and US teams for the IAAF World Championships in London are among those to have been recently announced.
Sprint stars Usain Bolt and Elaine Thompson lead the 56-strong Jamaican squad for the event taking place in the UK capital from August 4-13, while a team of 132 athletes has been announced by USATF.
Bolt, who has said the London event will be his last major championships, is set to race the 100m, as is Thompson.
A total of 77 Olympians, including 13 medallists from London 2012, feature on the US team, including Allyson Felix and Christian Taylor.

The Australian team for the championships has also been named, with London 2012 100m hurdles champion Sally Pearson and race walker Jared Tallent among those confirmed. The team is listed on the Athletics Australia website.
Olympic 800m champion Caster Semenya has been named in the South Africa squad for the 800m, 1500m and 4x400m, while Wayde van Niekerk is confirmed for the 200m and 400m. Find the team list here.
Athletics Canada has named a team of 48 athletes, including defending champions Derek Drouin in the high jump and Shawn Barber in the pole vault. The team is on the Athletics Canada website.
Javelin stars Thomas Röhler and Johannes Vetter are among the 71 athletes in the German squad, which is listed here.
