Former winners of gold medals at the English Schools Champs are welcome to be part of a parade of champions on July 12 in Birmingham

The English Schools Athletics Association is inviting any former track and field champions to attend its centenary event at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on July 12.

Gold medallists from past English Schools Championships are welcome to be part of a grand parade of athletes where they will be able to walk alongside their county team, bringing past and present athletes together in celebration of 100 years of schools athletics.

The English Schools AA was founded in 1925 and has acted as a springboard for many top athletes over the years. The ESAA is also hoping to get some of the big-name former winners to the 2025 event in Birmingham.

The ESAA will provide an entry ticket and refreshments for former winners on the Saturday of the two-day championships. There will also be a reception for guests on the day, although the organisation adds it is unable to pay any travel expenses.
