Incredibly responsive and plush high mileage running shoe for a superb price.
Incredibly well cushioned and fits like a glove out the box. This shoe is a perfect everyday training shoe that loves running miles. There is a minor upper update for this new model, so looking for a previous season shoe would not be a bad idea!
The Nike Air Zoom Structure 24 is a supportive trainer which can handle most types of running. It has plenty of comfort and durability and most importantly, it is great value for money! Compared to the other shoes in this category like the Saucony Omni 20 and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22, the Nike lacks real support for true over pronators but is fantastic value and a more than capable high mileage shoe! This is a perfect shoe for a neutral runner who wants just a bit more support in a shoe for longer runs and some guideance.
Air in the forefoot and Nike's excellent CMP 010 foam throughout the midsole make this a soft, plush shoe with plenty of cushioning but lacking the responsiveness in some of its competitors. It is a well balanced, all rounder that holds its durabillity over many miles - I have run over 300 miles in the previous Structure and it still has plently of spring and cushioning left in there yet, this shoe has the same midsole. The foam is Nike's CMP 010, not the React foam, and is softer than some other mileage shoes in the Nike line up.
Premium materials and a solid internal heel counter, a plush heel and premium foam package provides a secure heel lockdown. The lining is smooth, with no irritation and more breathable than the previous version.
The tongue is thick and is attached to the inner sleeve to create a bootie type fit, and therefore there is no tongue slide but it was a warm shoe because of the inner sleeve and all the padding.
The fit is still true to size for Nike and suitable for wide feet because its forefoot and midfoot are broad.
Outsole is fantastic... Great rubber coverage gives fantastic durability and the waffle forefoot is great for many different terrains. At home on roads or light trails, the carbon heel and blown rubber forefoot combine together to aid a smooth ride.
Structure 24 is one of the softest trainers in the Nike performance range thanks to its plush midsole and blown rubber forefoot. If you find the Nike Invincible Run too soft and unstable, then the Structure is perfect for you. Not to mention it is far far cheaper and therefore offers incredible value compared to any shoe on the market today.
