This new model from Asics is a wecome addition to the line. The Dynablast uses the brand's Flytefoam tech to deliver a responsive ride that is not overly soft. It's a basic shoe in many respects and no worse for it. While a lot of brands focus on the headline grabbing, it is good to see Asics have one eye at the lower end of the market and the Dynablast is a shoe offering great value for money.
The Flytefoam Blast foam will offer good, responsive cushioning that is not overly soft. It is a one piece midsole which delivers a nice springy ride from touch down to toe-off.
A lightweight and breathable knitted upper does a decent job and holds the foot snugly. It has a strethy sock-like fit. The multi-directional knoit adds strength and support. There's the addition of a plastic heel insert to support the heel snugly.
The rubber on the midsole offers enough traction for the pavement. Smooth riding adds to the transition experience but perhaps too smooth for venturing off-road in.
The Asics Dynablast is a versatile, comfortable and offering great value for money, it is a good choice for any beginner or someone not running huge mileage. The ride is firmer than many but that's fine by us. It's responsive and at the price, would be hard to beat.
