Loosen up your lower legs, says Lexie Williamson

This is an excellent stretch to perform before speed work – it really helps to loosen out your calf muscles.

From an upright standing position, step your left foot back and bend your right leg.

Ensure both feet are facing forwards.

Drop your fingertips to the floor.

Slowly draw your back heel towards the floor as far as it will go.

Hold for several seconds before repeating on the other side.
