All-time major athletic championship medallists

Here Athletics Weekly has compiled a complete list of medallists from major track and field championships. Every medallist from American Robert Garrett's inaugural Olympic shot put gold in Athens in 1896 right through to Jamaican Usain Bolt's Olympic sprint golds in 2008 and 2012 and up to the present day.

Events included are:

World Indoor Championships
European Championships
European Indoor Championships

Each event has its own home page listing a short history of the event together with details of every venue at which that championship has taken place, plus every medallist grouped together under categories entitled Sprints, Distances, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws, Multi-events, Walks and Relays.
